Systems Measurement Services LP (SMS) is an organization focused upon providing excellence in the energy marketplace. The company is divisionalized into a Products group and a Systems group to better provide applications based solutions. SMS have established offices in key energy locations: Bakersfield, Farmington, Denver, Calgary and (in the very near future) Houston.
The SMS Products group represents “best in class” measurement, control and piping related components with expert personnel supporting the specification and sales efforts. SMS Systems group is responsible for the sale, design and manufacturing of custom oilfield process systems. With expertise in Net Oil solutions, Oilfield Processing and Custody Transfer measurement, SMS have successfully become a valued partner with oil & gas companies world wide. A full portfolio of systems can be offered, dependent upon the specific application of the producer.
The SMS Systems success story can’t be told without specifically mentioning the compact separation solutions SMS have been providing for the past 10 years. SMS is the pioneer and manufacturer of a flow conditioning system called the Gas Liquid Cylindrical Cyclonic (GLCC) separator. This compact solution provides separation (gas from liquid) to assist in the determination of net oil. The GLCC is also effectively used in the gas fields (liquids from gas) to efficiently remove liquids so that the produced gas is suitable for pipeline tie in.
